When you have been delighted by a thing, reflect on its nature: you have received it, and you will return it.

What it means today

Everything you have is on loan. Enjoy it as a loan, and its return to the lender becomes natural rather than tragic. The pain of loss is mostly the refusal to acknowledge the loan.
