About 1 Stoic a Day

1 Stoic a Day delivers one Stoic idea every day — a short quotation, a plain-English interpretation, and one practical thing to try. The whole thing is built to take about a minute.

What this is (and isn’t)

This is not a quote generator and it isn’t a clone of other daily-Stoic sites. The point is translation: taking ancient Stoic wisdom and connecting it to the problems people actually search for — anxiety, failure, difficult people, money, uncertainty. Each entry separates the historical quotation from our own commentary.

On accuracy

Quotations are attributed to real authors and, where known, to their source works. Where a wording is a faithful paraphrase rather than a verbatim transcription, we flag it. We do not invent quotations. The interpretations, exercises, and questions are original editorial content and are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

How the daily works

The featured Stoic is chosen deterministically from the date, so everyone sees the same idea on a given day and each day’s entry has a permanent link. No account required — just come back tomorrow.
